TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR FREELANCE HANDYMEN REGISTERED WITH “YOUR TASK CREW”

1.        Introduction

• These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the relationship between freelance handymen (“Handyman” or “Contractor”) and Your Task Crew (“Company”), an independent platform connecting service providers with customers. By registering with Your Task Crew, Handyman agrees to abide by these terms.

2. Registration & Eligibility

• Handyman must be at least 18 years old and must be legally allowed to work in Canada.

• Handyman must provide accurate information regarding their experience and skills.

• Registration does not guarantee jobs; work is offered based on customer requests and availability.

2.        Services Provided

• Handyman may offer services such as but not limited to; Painting, TV installations, furniture assembly, electrical work, yard cleaning, dry-wall repair moving & packing help, scrap removal and other handyman tasks.

• Compliance with local laws and safety regulations may be required.

• Handyman is responsible for their own tools, equipment, and transportation. However, the company may provide help (if requested) with manpower, tools and equipment subject to their availability.

• Any help provided by the company would have a cost associated to it. This cost varies from case-to-case basis and company will try to keep it as low as reasonably possible.

4. Payments & Fees

• Handyman will receive 80% of the payment for each completed task, with 20% retained by Your Task Crew for administrative and operational expenses. The term “payment” refers to the profit earned, and it does not include any amount that is used to purchase any consumables to perform the task like screws, paint, fasteners, other raw material. Tools and equipment are not categorized as consumables. 

• Payments are processed securely, and any applicable GST/HST will be collected directly from customers by Your Task Crew.

• Handyman is responsible for tracking their own earnings and managing tax obligations.

• Handyman will not correspond with the customer directly nor will he be authorized to collect payments directly from the customer unless the company approves so.

5. Independent Contractor Status

• Handyman is not an employee of Your Task Crew and will be engaged as an independent contractor.

• Handyman is responsible for their own insurance, tax reporting, and business expenses. The company may support the freelancer in terms of providing tools, manpower and equipment based on availability of resources.

• The Company does not guarantee a minimum number of job-offers.

6. Code of Conduct & Liability

• Handymen must maintain professionalism, deliver high-quality service, and respect customer properties.

• Any damages, accidents, or disputes with customers are the sole responsibility of the Handyman.

• Your Task Crew is not liable for injuries, damages, or losses incurred during service performance.

7. Termination & Dispute Resolution

• Your Task Crew reserves the right to remove or suspend a Handyman for violations of these terms, fraudulent behavior, or poor service quality.

• Disputes between Handyman and customers should be resolved amicably; the Company may facilitate resolution but is not legally responsible.

8.        Workflow

• Once a customer reaches out to the company with an inquiry for any service, the company will negotiate with the customer. Once the order is finalized the handyman will be contacted and extended the offer. The handyman will be responsible for that job he accepts the offer. It is totally up to the handyman to take the offer or not. However, repeatedly declining offered work may result in cancellation of the Handyman registration with the company.

• The company will maintain the data of the Handyman (Services Offered, Offers Accepted, Customer Rating, etc.). This data will be shared with the Handyman from time to time.

• The company has the right to inspect the work/service provided by the Handyman to ensure quality and fulfilment of customer requirements.

9.        Amendments

• The company (Your Task Crew) reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions as needed. Updated terms will be communicated to registered Handymen.

• By registering, the Handyman agrees to these terms and acknowledges that Your Task Crew is an intermediary platform facilitating connections with customers.
